Privacy Policy
Last updated:16 August 2026
This policy describes the data processing actually carried out by the platform. It is provided for information purposes and should be reviewed by legal counsel before any formal compliance sign-off.
1. Data controller
TrustAxis is responsible for processing the personal data collected via the platform. For any question about your data, you can contact us at: outreach@trustaxis.ch.
2. Data we collect
Depending on how you use the platform, we process: (a) your email address and an encrypted password on registration, or the basic information of your Google account if you use Google sign-in; (b) for listed professionals, the profile information you provide (name, business, description, specialities, languages, fees, contact details, canton/city and, where applicable, a photo); (c) the content of messages exchanged via the internal messaging system; (d) limited technical data (IP address and security logs) necessary for operation and abuse protection.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We use your data to: create and manage your account, display professionals' profiles, enable matchmaking and messaging, process subscriptions, secure the platform and communicate with you (confirmations, notifications). This processing is based on performance of the contract (providing the service), your consent (e.g. analytics cookies), and our legitimate interest in securing and improving the platform, in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) and, for EU visitors, the GDPR.
4. Third-party providers
The platform relies on third-party providers that process certain data on our behalf: Cloudflare (hosting, storage of data and photos, anti-bot protection), Google (sign-in via OAuth, if you use it), Stripe (payment processing), Mailjet (sending transactional emails) and Daily.co (videoconferencing). These providers only access data to the extent necessary for their service. Payments are processed directly by Stripe; we do not store your full card details.
5. Cookies and audience analysis
We use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you securely signed in. We also use Google Analytics to understand platform usage in aggregated form; this data helps us improve the service.
6. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account at any time; we will then delete your personal data, except for data we must retain to meet legal obligations (e.g. accounting).
7. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected, to request its deletion, to object to certain processing, and to receive a copy of your data. To exercise these rights, write to us at outreach@trustaxis.ch. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent authority (in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, FDPIC).
8. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data (password encryption, secure connections, anti-bot protection). As no system is entirely secure, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes
We may update this privacy policy. Any changes will be published on this page with a revised update date.
10. Contact
For any question about this policy or the processing of your personal data, contact us at: outreach@trustaxis.ch.
